Tragically Hip is a sister-sister duo specializing in fashion styling, clothing design, editorial photography, and creative direction. We collaborate with modeling agencies, brands, and industry creatives to develop original, striking visuals that stand out on the fashion landscape. We find beauty in unexpected places, doubling-down on our affection for the non-traditional with a penchant for the slightly (sometimes, overtly) ridiculous. Our mission is to take your vision and bring it to life in a way that is even cooler than you imagined it.

About Us

Big Sister
April Gardner

April is a photographer, writer, creative director, and voice of reason. She has been behind the camera since film and darkrooms were the standard. She earned an MBA from Benedictine University in 2021, when she probably should have pursued an MFA. Her style is streetwear, refined for everyday. She is a feminist, and a champion for civil rights and diversity which is reflected in her work. April carries the free tote bag that came with her Architectural Digest subscription and wears 2-finger rings unironically. You can find her driving around with giant bags of unwashed thrift in the back of her Volvo.

Little Sister
Erin Blair

Erin is a painter, welder, clothing designer, and agent of chaos. She specializes in large scale art installations. She is one of the only women to have ever sold out a 10k NFT project. Her style could be described as a Frankenstein assembly of vintage finds, high end designer pieces, and found objects. Erin carries a haunted teddy bear as a purse and wears Balenciaga Crocs to the beach. She can be spotted first in line on the last day of an Estate Sale complaining that she doesn't have a cigarette, even though she hasn't smoked since middle school.
